How to Get Here

Location

Seefeld is just 20 kms North of Innsbruck, the capital of the region of Tirol. The Italian border is 50 Kms to the South, and Switzerland just 150 Kms to the West – easily reached by Motorway.

How to Get Here

  1. By Air:

    1. Innsbruck Airport  is just 12 miles / 20 Kms away, and there can therefore be very few Ski-ing Resorts in Europe which are as close to an airport as Seefeld is.  There are buses and trains running between Innsbruck and Seefeld although the taxi is the quickest and simplest option. A taxi from the airport costs 40 Euros or less, and we can organize a good quality service, known to us, from Seefeld at no more cost than from the taxi rank at the airport.

Easyjet now flies most days to Innsbruck in Winter from Gatwick, Manchester, Liverpool and Bristol. A number of other Charter airlines also fly from Britain, as well as several German airlines from airports on the Continent.

Daily flights are also available in Summer, but check the web for the best deals.

    2. Munich Airport. EasyJet flies daily to Munich Airport from many British airports and is 90 miles/140 Kms from Seefeld, although this is almost all Motorway. It has the advantage of being a major European airport with corresponding ease of access. You can connect to Seefeld by train (see below), by car or taxi.

Cars are available to hire at the airport either via your airline booking or from a number of major Hire companies under Terminal 2, a five minute indoor walk from your arrival at Terminal 1. We can give you guidance on the fairly straightforward drive from there to Seefeld. The roads are generally kept remarkably free from snow in the winter, and being nearly all Motorway it is not usually a problem. Journey time should be under two hours.

Alternatively you can hire a taxi, either from the airport, or one organized by us from a reputable local firm if guests prefer. An 8-seater people carrier costs about 250 Euros to Seefeld.

  2. By Train:

    1. From Munich Airport. Trains leave from Munich Airport itself for Innsbruck via Seefeld, and the cost is modest, but a change of trains is usually involved and the time taken can be three or four hours.

    2. From Rome. A very inexpensive train service runs from Rome to Innsbruck with numerous convenient stops en-route.

  3. By Car:

    Seefeld is:

    • 75 miles/120 Kms from Munich – mostly Motorway.

    • Approximately 40 miles/65 Kms from Italy (by Motorway over the Brenner Pass).

    • 690 Miles from Calais – almost all Motorway (via Reims Strasbourg, Stuttgart and Munich.

    • Taxis in Seefeld itself charge a standard six Euros for any journey in the town.
